Anne Hathaway Rocks British Accent In ‘One Day’ Trailer

Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star in the upcoming film of best selling novel One Day.
While not exactly an Oscar winning role (at least in the dress department) Anne has her way with the English accent very well.
She plays the role of Emma who, on the night of her college graduation, spends the night with her friend Dexter (Sturgess) and thereafter on the same date for the next 20 years.
Co-stars are my fave Patricia Clarkson as Dexter’s mum and that old Scottish standby Ken Stott.
I’ve got a feeling of deja vu about this though: Isn’t it just a teensy weensy bit too much like the 1978 film Same Time, Next Year starring Alan Aldaand Ellen Burstyn? First winning a Tony for the same role on Broadway, Burstyn won an Oscar as Doris, who meets George (Alan Alda) by chance and although both married to other people, after a romantic dinner find themselves in bed together.
Then… guess what… they agree to meet on the same weekend for the next X number of years… hmmm.
